Published on 23/06/2019 by lucijana

Trogir is one of the oldest cities in Croatia, the city with its offer and the beauty of tradition is becoming a hit destination you have to visit and get to know.

The city of Trogir, Marina, Seget Donji, Seget Vranjica, Vinišće and the island of Čiovo make up the Trogir Riviera. This area is rich with Mediterranean vegetation, olive groves and vineyards, numerous islands and bays, sand and pebble beaches.

Except for high quality accommodation in hotels, apartments, camps and homemade delicacies, especially fish specialties, it also offers a wide variety of sport and recreation. The coast of the Trogir Riviera is separated with smaller bays, capes, and islands with lush Mediterranean vegetation, still preserved in its original form.

This is favorable for those who are attracted to cruising along the Adriatic coast. The climate is favorable with mild winters and warm summers which are cooled by the pleasant wind – the maestral.

You can reach Trogir really easy – Public bus number 37 will drive you directly in front of the Northern gates of the city, to the local bus station.  This same bus passes next to the airport. “Bura line” is a private ferry company that has several times a day boat rides to Trogir / more info and time schedule at:  http://buraline.com/

If you are history or architecture fan or just tourist, must visit locations in Trogir are: St. Lawrence’s Cathedral ( it is also possible to climb the bell tower ) , The west portal, The baptistry, The Town Loggia, The Pinakoteka, Town Museum, The Convent of St Nicholas and of course the coffee on Riva. After passing Riva  there is Kamerlengo fortress from 15th century.

However there are couple of bays on the coast close by Trogir’s area:

Medena beach –  is a Hotel resort and a public beach – has a very rich programme for children and adults, restaurants, sea activities and the most important thing it has a parking.

Seget Donji – it’s a small charming fishermen village 3 kilometers away from Trogir. There are not many beaches in Seget Donji but the ones you find in and around this area are hidden away from the summer crowds.

Seget Vranjica – small quite village, not too popular and a perfect spot to put your body and mind on a holiday. Great getaway from busy streets of Trogir and yet only 2 kilometers away from it.
